2011 Tour Programme
West Coast Harley has a programme of tours organised for 2011.
These not only include three types of tour within Scotland but also
France and Italy.
Most tours offer a 9 day, 8 night vacation with 7 days motorbike
riding. Our tour season kicks off on 30th April 2011 in France
where you will traverse across some of the best roads in the Pays
de la Loire, Poitou-Charentes, Limousine and Aquitaine regions with
hotel accommodation in two bases within Loire and Dordogne
areas.
This is followed by a tour centred at a luxury country club in
Dordogne. This type of tour will appeal to those who have a
non-biking partner because after taking a different circuit of
around 200 miles each day the riders return to the luxury chateaux
for dinner where they can meet up with their partner who will have
spent the day on one of the many club based activities of visited
the local sights.
The third French tour begins in Dordogne and end in Provence and
operates similar to the first but enabling riders to view a
uniquely different side of France.
After these French tours we head off to the Italian Lakes and
Alp's. This tour is similar to the Dordogne luxury vacation but on
this occasion a 3 star hotel has been selected thus providing a
lower cost alternative.
In June we begin our Scottish tours with a circuit of Scotland.
This tour heads south to Dumfries and Galloway, onwards through the
Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, and up through Grampian into the
Highlands continuing all the way to the most northern points of the
British mainland before descending down the rugged west coast and
back to Glasgow.
This is followed by a luxury leisure break based at the
Doubletrees by Hilton Dunblane Hydro. Once again this is likely to
appeal to those with non-biking partners. From Dunblane we explore
down to the English border, the central belt and the highlands of
Scotland to about Inverness. Meanwhile the non-biker has an
abundance of leisure and tourist attractions within easy reach of
Dunblane.
Next we have a two centre Scottish holiday operating from a
hotel in the central belt where the lowlands are first explored
before proceeding north to our second base in the highlands where
the northern half of Scotland is experienced.
The season continues in France with more tours similar to above
and a 16 Day, 15 Night French circuit with 12-14 Days Motorbike
Riding.
